OYM MINISTRY SUPPORT COORDINATOR (MSC)
“Relationships Aren’t a Side Project. They Are the Project.”
WHAT IS AN MSC?
Ministry Support Coordinators (MSCs) are Relationship-Builders
An MSC’s role is simple, but vital: to walk with local leaders and strengthen the relational fabric of Orthodox ministry.
MSCs don’t come with programs. They come with presence.

MSCs are here to help foster healthy, Eucharistic communities by:
-
Accompanying clergy, parents, and lay leaders through presence—where you feel seen, understood, and heard, eliciting care as Christ does.
-
Supporting collaboration across jurisdictions
-
Connecting parishes to one another and to resources

What does an MSC offer?
Presence. Collaboration. Resources.

OUR VISION
We believe every young person is created with a God-given identity, called into belonging in His Church, and entrusted with a purpose in the world.

OUR MISSION
We accompany ministry leaders and families as they partner with God and one another to cultivate healthy Eucharistic communities in which young people’s faith can flourish.
CONNECT WITH YOUR LOCAL MSC
PETER SAVAS
Chicagoland Region Ministry Support Coordinator
Hi, I'm Peter Savas — your Chicagoland MSC

As a husband and father, I care deeply about helping young people encounter the life of the Church. My hope is to walk with you as you build Christ-centered relationships in your parish and community, across generations and Orthodox jurisdictions. If you're serving in ministry, I’d love to connect and support you as you faithfully tend the corner of the world God has entrusted to you.

WHAT'S NEXT?
In the next 5 years, we’re working toward a team of 15 MSCs across 6 regions of the U.S.
This is a movement of presence over programs, family over function, and communion over content.
